Writing blogs is pretty much the worst thing. I get the overwhelming feeling that most people really don't care what I have to say, and who am I to broadcast what I think to the whole world? But I guess that's the appeal for most people. For me, I don't get the narcissist approach to most things we do on the internet. Blogs, Myspace, Facebook …

Its like - look at me, look at me! I'm so important. See how many friends I have? Read what I have to say and look at all my pictures, all the fun I have and all the places I've been. Comment on them. Love me!

It's an evolved popularity contest where you get instant results and, honestly, it's a little weird to me.

I deleted my Facebook and Myspace accounts a few months ago, and it was probably one of the best things I've ever done. Sure, I don't get creepy news feeds about what my friends are doing and I miss out on parties or cool stuff going on sometimes, but once it was gone, I realized how little I care. My real friends are the ones I see in the flesh, who call me just to say hi, whose voices I hear and company I enjoy.

And guess what, they really do care what I have to say.
