East and West collide at the 14th Annual Asian Festival 2008. Come celebrate at this free festival, including ethnic cuisine and arts and crafts.

Martial arts instructors will be on hand to show demonstrations, while cultural dances are performed to music native to nearly a dozen Asian countries.

Enjoy the rhythms of the classic Japanese Taiko drums, a Chinese orchestral performance and a fashion show with traditional Asian costumes. Learn Chinese calligraphy and Japanese origami, as well as the ancient arts of taekwando and t'ai chi chuan from local masters.

But this event also involves culture from India, Cambodia and Pakistan. There will be demonstrations in Mehendi, an ancient Indian body art painting and food from these various countries.

Asian architecture can be seen and cultural traditions can be experienced.

See what it is like when two worlds meet and participate in the celebration of Asian people and their way of life from far away lands.
