What would Mick Jagger be without nut-hugging leather pants?

And Marilyn Manson without patent leather and scary spikes?

And what, pray tell, would Prince be without purple crushed velvet?

One word: boring.

Thankfully, fashion is as much a part of rock and roll as anything, and the fifth annual Frock N Roll Fashion show is set to outfit rock stars and wannabes alike, all in the name of charity.

Models will tear up the runway in threads provided by nine of Arizona's top designers, including Susan Di Staulo, Christy Fisher and Paul Haslett. Of course, their fierce strides will be accompanied by the amped-up rock stylings of local bands Crash Street Kids, The Blues Hounds, Brewed To Perfection and Champagne Tap. Word has it that all amps will be turned up to 11.

And the night isn't entirely about sex, drugs and rock 'n roll, although a few hotel rooms might fall victim to the rockin' atmosphere: it's also about giving back.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to nine charities, including Susan G. Komen For The Cure and the Arizona Animal Welfare League.

Who knew rock 'n roll could feel even better in the heart than below the studded belt?
