I'm very particular about a lot of things - especially cleanliness - but my controlling tendencies stretch into most aspects of life: eating, drinking, driving, punctuality, where stuff goes on my desk or in my house, you get the picture. Some would call this "obsessive-compulsive disorder," but I've never had it diagnosed so I can deny it.

Recently, my boyfriend and I decided to move in together. So, far it's been an interesting experience. I had to clean out a closet (an ENTIRE closet) for him to put his clothes, which meant getting rid of a huge amount of my stuff. That was hard enough, but now I have to move furniture around and make room for appliances, books, a couch, a hideous leather chair and various other things I kind of hate looking at.

But it's not even the making room or his questionable taste part that makes me crazy. Yesterday, I yelled at him for the following: leaving the refrigerator door open too long, putting his wet towel on the bed, not washing his dishes, playing a video game, having the volume on the TV up too loud, wearing track pants, chewing with his mouth open, letting the tap run while he brushed his teeth and chasing my cat around the apartment. And that was just yesterday! Part of me thinks he provokes me, because he thinks it's funny or entertaining in some way, which only makes things worse.

Don't get me wrong, we totally get along. He's been a good sport about all of my crazy, something that most people wouldn't be able to do. So, I guess since I've found someone who can put up with my complete insanity, I should probably make some kind of effort to contain it. Easier said than done.
