Top Ten Totally Ridiculous Summer TV Shows
So You Think You Can Dance – FOX, Thursdays at 7 p.m.
This show actually isn’t that bad. But I’m listing it because that chick Mary Murphy is probably the most annoying person on the face of the Earth.
The Baby Borrowers – NBC, Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
This show has the potential to be awesome, just because it’ll be kind of funny to watch a bunch of teenagers try to handle toddlers. But my expectations are pretty low for this one.
America’s Got Talent – NBC, Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
I haven’t watched any of this show this season, but I watched it last summer and it’s totally ridiculous, mostly because of this guy.
American Gladiator – NBC, Mondays at 7 p.m.
I’ve been angry at this new “American Gladiator” since it started, but it seems it just keeps getting crazier and commercialized. They gave the entire audience Hulk Hands and had some gladiator painted green to hype “The Incredible Hulk” movie. Also, Hellga scares the crap out of me.
Wipeout – ABC, Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
Ah, “Wipeout.” I must admit there’s something incredibly funny about people falling into pools of mud from things called “Big Balls” and “Tippy Tables,” but only for a time. After a while, it gets well, ridiculous.
I Survive a Japanese Game Show – ABC, Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
This officially debuted Tuesday. I didn’t watch it, but I did watch “Wipeout,” which was on right before it, so I had to watch a bunch of commercials for this wacky game show. Contestants were dressed up like babies and had to eat weird stuff off other people’s heads. Enough said.
Wife Swap- ABC, Wednesdays 7 p.m.
This show, yeah, it’s always been ridiculous.
Moment of Truth – FOX, Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
I just don’t get this show. All people have to do is be honest and they win money! To me, this does not make for good TV.
Celebrity Circus – NBC, Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
Think “Dancing with the Stars”-type B-list celebrities making total asses of themselves doing silly circus tricks like trapeze, flying silk and the Wheel of Death.
Greatest American Dog – CBS, Thursdays at 7 p.m.
I thought this show was a joke, but alas, it is not. It will be sucking up hours of usually pretty good Thursday night TV with stuff like this.
