What’s one of the few things that can bring together Arizona, California, Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado and Mexico? Lowriders, of course!

This weekend be prepared to explore the 29th Annual Lowrider Super Show with 350 entries of cars, trucks, classic cruisers, custom motorcycles and even lowrider bicycles that will be judged for prizes. Some of these entries have taken over a year and nearly $50,000 to create. Truly a sight to behold, and how could something that’s been going on for nearly 30 years be bad?

Along with the cool cars, there will be two stages of live music from not only from touring acts, but also from DJs like DJ Carlos, DJ Unique and DJ Tanzo that call the Valley home.

So, you’ve got cars, bikes, music. Need more? Well, there will also be a fashion show, dancers, break-dancing crews, a Latino art show with some of Arizona’s best multi-media artists, and a music video shoot for Krown Records.

Join the thousands of people from the Southwest that will flock to the “modern day fiesta on wheels” and largest indoor gathering of its kind in the world. If anything, it’s an experience entirely unique to the Valley.

29th Annual Arizona Lowrider Super Show, Phoenix Convention Center, 100 N. Third Street, Phoenix, 623.377.2001, Saturday, September 6, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday, September 7, noon to 8 p.m., $12-$20

Rudy Carpenter, Dmitri Nance and 60,000 screaming members of Sun Devil Nation prepare to bust up the Stanford Cardinal, the “Ivy League of the West,” a school so smart, it doesn’t understand pluralization. There’s probably some story behind that, that we don’t know, which will expose us to be the true idiots. But what’s that they say about ignorance? It’s bliss. That’s right, pure unadulterated bliss, just like stompin’ on the CARDINAL (no S), yet again. Stanford Cardinal (no s) at Arizona State University Sun Devils, Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe Campus, Saturday, Septmeber 6, 7 p.m., $15-$200
