Who isn't excited about this season of "Dancing with the Stars"? Okay, maybe me. I rarely watch the show, mainly because I have a problem with the fact that none of contestants are really "stars," and the show is called "Dancing with the Stars."

I mean it seems like a really good premise ... the idea that the audience is getting a chance to watch stars competing against each other for the best dance performance. But then when you actually watch it, and you don't know half of the contestants, you start to wonder if you are on the right channel. Then again, if the contestants were true "stars" they probably wouldn't have any reason to be on the show to begin with.

But, I hear that this season may be "one of the most unpredictable seasons yet." While I'm pretty sure that the show says that just about every time it starts a new season, this year they might have a point. There has already been a lot of drama with the show, having two dancers, singer Jewel and "Access Hollywood's" Nancy O'Dell, calling it quits early because of injuries incurred during rehearsal. The show replaced the two stars with "Bachelor's" Melissa Rycroft and "Girl Next Door," Holly Madison.

Of course, Melissa Rycroft should bring some viewers to the table after recently "winning" the Bachelor, only to be dumped six weeks later by Jason Mesnick. Hopefully, her moves as a former Dallas Cowboy cheerleader will keep her in the game. Then we have Lil' Kim, who said she wants to show the world the "real' Lil' Kim, and claims she is a much more reserved person than she acts in her songs and music videos. Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson is also on the show, who is one of the youngest contestants ever to participate. Let's hope she can be as good of a dancer as she is a gymnast.

And my personal favorite, Denise Richards. Catching a brief clip on her on "Entertainment Tonight," I already heard her complaining about the hard work, followed by a look of disgust on her partner's face. Between her nasty highly-publicized divorce with Charlie Sheen and her ridiculous reality show on E! that showed just how obnoxious she really is, I can't imagine her staying in the game too long. But who knows, maybe she will surprise everyone.

But then again, maybe not. According to an "anonymous tipster" to the Chicago Sun-Times, "Denise Richards has already become the number one least-liked contestant in the show's eight seasons. It's really clear that she's one insecure woman. She's demanding and thinks she's smarter than the rest of us. It's really irritating."

Even if it is from an anonymous tipster, I still believe it, and I just might have to tune into this season to see just how far the drama goes.
