I feel like I talk about "As Seen on TV" products way too often in my blogs, but this time it actually has merit.

Vince Shlomi, ShamWow spokesperson and a former hero of mine, beat up a prostitute.

Now, I realize this isn't new news. I'm just so ashamed that I didn't see through what Vince was selling. And I don't mean ShamWows, which look to be pretty amazing. I mean, he made me fall in love with him. What a fool, what a fool.

You see, Vince from ShamWow was a go-getter in my eyes. In my head, he ate a bagel in the morning, sold a couple million ShamWows that day then went to a nightclub at night. He seemed like an average 27-year-old dude, who just happened to be one of the greatest salesmen of all time. To an extent, that was true. Well, except for the 27-year-old part.

He had been duping me the whole time. The young, loveable ShamWow hawker is actually 44. And Sham WOW! What makeup and lighting can do for that pitchman.

As for the whole "going to a nightclub at night" thing, that's also true. That's where Shlomi met the 26-year-old prostitute who reportedly propositioned him for sex for the nominal fee of $1,000.

According to thesmokinggun.com, when Shlomi went to kiss the woman, she bit his tongue and wouldn't let go. He says he fought back in self defense. From the looks of it, he did some pretty extensive damage.

The moral of this story is that it's not ok to hurt hookers, kids. But there is some irony in the fact that Shlomi is also the pitchman for the Slap Chop food chopper.
