Heighten your First Friday with a trip to the Arizona Science Center as part of its Adults' Night Out program. Free admission for adults 18 and over includes access to hands-on exhibits, a lecture and a chance to take a spin on the museum's newest addition - the Evans Family SkyCycle.

The SkyCycle is exactly what it sounds like. It's 90-feet long, 14-feet high, 475 pounds, yellow and for $5 it is yours for two minutes. The interactive exhibit opened a few weeks ago to teach riders about the principles of gravity and counterbalance. After strapping into a full body harness, riders mount the bike and cycle across a cable suspended in the air.

Below the tightrope, the bike's 250-pound counter balance lowers a rider's center of gravity and rights any movements that might send the bike off the cable - in other words, you're not falling off this gizmo.

You can also check out some of the 300 other interactive exhibits like the rock climbing wall ($4). If you and heights do not mix, listen to the best-selling author David Ewing Duncan's lecture about modern medicine and environmental testing he conducted on himself. Or be dazzled by "Sharks 3D" at the IMAX or the stars in the planetarium. No matter what you dig, there is bound to be something stimulating for everyone at Adults' Night Out.
