Her soft, sexy yellow skin. Her bug eyes adorned with four eyelashes. Her tall, blue beehive hairstyle. What man could resist Marge Simpson?

Not even the world's most famous playboy could say no to her gawky-yet-curvy frame. Hugh Hefner decided to put the cartoon mother of two (well, three if you count Maggie, but who really does?) on the cover of the November issue of Playboy to commemorate the 20th anniversary of "The Simpsons." And oh my, is it ... hot?

Well, not really, unless you're the kind of person that's really into Japanese anime porn. The cover is a throwback to a '70s cover featuring the first black woman to be featured on the cover of Playboy, Darine Stern. The magazine shook things up then and they're doing it again with everyone's favorite cartoon worrywart.

CEO Scott Flanders (any relation to the Flanders!?) has said the pictorial is intended to reach a large audience, according to one Chicago Sun-Times article. The magazine has lost some of its appeal with highly-coveted 20-something readers to other publications like Maxim. The edgy pictures of a scantily clad Marge Simpson are intended to shock and awe, not necessarily be sexy.

But in the blogosphere, (I know, I hate that word too) the pictorial has some mothers up-in-arms, saying that the sexualization of a cartoon could lead to younger people, especially pubescent boys, wanting to snag a copy of the controversial mag.

Here's what I say to that. Do you know what a pubescent boy would like to see more than a nude picture of a cartoon Marge Simpson? A real, live naked girl! You know, the same kind that have been in Playboy since its 1953 inception? Well, to be fair, these days the "real" girls in Playboy are nipped, tucked and Photoshopped probably more than any cartoon character, but I digress.

Prudes of the world, please take a moment to consider what you're saying. When "The Simpsons" first came on the scene in 1989, parents forbid their children to watch the show, in fear that its edgy humor would impact their innocent minds. Now, the children raised in that generation have kids of their own. "The Simpsons" are considered mild compared to shows like "Family Guy" and pretty much anything on Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim." "The Simpsons" just have to keep up, hence a sexy Marge on the cover of Playboy.

They've gots to keep it sexy and I think she looks pretty cute.
