Watching the "Today Show" is like watching a petri dish of things that were popular six months ago. The 'ole blue hairs at NBC News seem to pick up on things a little late, when the story is old and stale and blow it out of proportion. They did it again, but this time it was almost 20 years too late.
The "Today Show" anchors recently announced that Bon Jovi will be playing to the Rockefeller Plaza until the end of the year, which is perfect for their "no new rock is good rock" audience. And it's true. Bon Jovi is offering nothing new with their latest album Full Circle.
Big, bellowing choruses meet optimistic piano and ambitious-but-unsuccessful guitar riffs on nearly every song on Full Circle, making them practically indistinguishable from one another. The band is clearly channeling the country's economic crisis in songs like "Work For the Working Man" and "We Weren't Born to Follow," offering the lift-me-up ditties they've been known for throughout the past decade. They're the kind of songs that make the band members millionaires while still pretending to relate to the middle class.
It's stiff. It's manufactured. It's another Bon Jovi album.

People who can't do, review.
Hating Bon Jovi stopped being cool a long time ago. While I am a fan, I'm not a diehard by any stretch, and man, even I'm tired of holier-than-thou "Music Critics" who think they'll gain credibility by knocking what's popular. (Continued…)

Hey, to make your review reliable you should first read the title, as it´s "The Circle", not "Full Circle" as Creed´s new release.
And hey, Bon Jovi can´t talk about the unemployment, but we let prime ministers, state chiefs to talk about it because they are broke. (Continued…)

You know, you just don't get it. Millions of people do get it. Let's let them review Bon Jovi and you keep still. How's about that?

All the songs DO NOT sound alike. Each has its own sound and subject.... for example, "Love's the Only Rule" which is a very DIFFERENTsound for Bon Jovi, and very modern. (Continued…)

And yet Bon Jovi still has #1 records, sells out arenas and has continued to do so for 26 years. They must be doing something right.

Well well, another load of snobbery from a hack critic, who has no doubt never lifted a guitar in their life - the comment about Mr Sambora's work is completely. (Continued…)
